Dear New Zealand,

Thank you so very very much for all the kinds words you sent me when I announced my trip to France. I feel very grateful to have you as part of my community.

The truth is that it wasn’t an easy decision to make. I hadn’t seen my family for nearly two years but I was concerned with the Covid situation and the risk to not being able to return to New Zealand. On top of that, I would have to quarantine for two weeks and be away for a total of 7 weeks. It was a lot to take on.

I can tell you know now: it was the best decision. I didn’t need to go back to France to know how much family is important to me but with all this time I was given with my brothers, sisters in law, nieces and nephews and both my parents, I feel energized again. 

I had to keep my online shop closed all this time since I am the one person who operates and run Miel des Collines. My partner visited the beehives when possible and they are keeping strong. But I wasn’t organized to have any of your orders sent.
